What this policy covers

This policy explains how Meal·Sanity handles personal information when you use our website, join the waitlist, or use the meal-planning service.

Information we collect

We collect the information you provide, such as your name, email address, account details, workspace details, recipes, ingredients, messages, meal plans, grocery notes, and invitations. We also process basic technical information needed to operate and secure the service. If you import a recipe, we may process the source URL or image and the recipe details extracted from it.

How we use information

We use information to provide and improve Meal·Sanity, maintain your account and shared workspaces, send requested service and waitlist emails, protect the service, and respond to support requests.

Service providers

We use service providers to run Meal·Sanity, including Supabase for authentication, database, and file storage; Resend for email delivery; and OpenRouter for AI-assisted recipe-import features. These providers process data only as needed to provide their services. Imported recipe content may also be retrieved from the source website you ask us to import.

Health information

Meal·Sanity is for general meal planning, not medical advice. Please do not enter medical information or urgent health concerns. If you need medical guidance or urgent help, contact an appropriately qualified professional or local emergency service.

Retention, access, and deletion

We retain account data while your account is active, unless we need to retain some information for legal, security, or operational reasons. You can download your data or delete your account from Settings. Deleting an account removes your account data, invitations, and stored recipe images; shared workspace content may remain for other workspace members without your profile or access. Backup and provider systems may retain data for their ordinary retention periods.

You can request removal from the waitlist, or request access, correction, or deletion, by contacting us.

Security and updates

We use reasonable measures designed to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. We may update this policy as Meal·Sanity changes; the date above shows when it was last revised.
